founded in 2017
Banks Performance Project was founded in Chicago, IL in January 2017 by Elysia C. Banks. Since its founding, BPP has performed at venues such at the Goodman Theatre, Theatre on the Lake, The Center on Halsted, Collaboraction Studios, and Hamilton Park Cultural Center. Hamilton Park Cultural Center also serves as the resident rehearsal space for the company. Banks Performance Project strives to create works that are honest, sincere, and authentic to real life experience . We inspire to give the audience an impactful experience and encourage both dancers and audience members to allow themselves to be truthful.

Banks Performance Project repertoire aspires to connect communities across cultures and experiences in Chicago and beyond.
